The Anatomy of a Drug Case (In-Person Program)
Friday, September 20, 2024 | 9:00am - 4:00pm EDT
Free*This is an in-person program*
This full-day educational program for Massachusetts judges will provide a practical overview of the events and procedures in the life of a typical drug case. The agenda will be built around hypothetical fact patterns that will invite back and forth between the panelists and the attendees.
An indispensable primer for new judges and a “nuts and bolts” review for experienced Massachusetts judges, the program will focus on pretrial matters (bail hearings, discovery, Lampron hearings, motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, etc.), as well as the trial (motions in limine, motions for required filing, jury instructions, etc.) In addition, there will be informative presentations on expert witness issues and drug testing services. Judges who attend will learn tips and strategies for drug case management.
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Advance registration is required, and space is limited. Sign up now to secure your spot. Questions? Please feel free to contact us at: programs@flaschner.org.
