This evening educational training for Superior Court judges will cover one criminal topic and one civil topic:

Criminal: Grand Jury Issues- Empanelment, Witness Issues (fifth amendment issues/Luman Martin hearings,  capias warrants, contempt) use of grand jury testimony at trial.

Civil: The anti-SLAPP statute: What it is, how to analyze motions under it, and how not to be afraid of it.
Presented by Judge Thomas F. McGuire, Jr. and Judge Rosemary Connolly
