Sexual Assault Trials in Focus (In-Person Program)

“Sexual Assault Trials in Focus” is a full-day FJI educational offering for Massachusetts judges that will provide an in-depth examination of the unique challenges presented in sexual assault cases. Through a blend of presentations, panel discussions, and focused breakout sessions, participants will explore current legal issues, evidentiary considerations, trauma-informed courtroom practices, jury management, and trial decision-making. This in-person program will focus on recent developments and emerging issues in the law of sexual assault and sexual assault trials. It has been designed to provide both practical insights and judicial perspectives that support fair, efficient, and well-managed proceedings.
