SCOTUS Year-in-Review 2023-2024 (Zoom Program)

This FJI program will include a panel discussion and analysis of the United States Supreme Court’s key cases decided in the most recent term, such as:

• Smith v. Arizona
• United States v. Rahimi
• Securities and Exchange Commission v. Jarkesy
• Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo
• Trump v. United States

It will also consider how those decisions may affect litigation in the state courts, particularly in Massachusetts.

This year’s panelists will be: Boston University Law Professor James E. Fleming and University of Florida Law Professor Gary S. Lawson, two distinguished academics with different perspectives on constitutional analysis. The program moderator will be Supreme Judicial Court Justice Scott L. Kafker, Flaschner’s President and Dean.
