SCOTUS Update: The 2025 – 2026 Term (Zoom Program)

Take a closer look at selected significant decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2025 – 2026 Term. This Zoom program will feature a panel discussion examining major rulings and emerging trends across a range of legal issues of importance to judges.

The panel will analyze selected decisions from the Court’s most recent term, exploring the reasoning behind the rulings, areas of agreement and disagreement among the Justices, and the potential implications of these decisions for state court litigation and judicial decision-making, particularly in Massachusetts.

Boston University Law Professor James E. Fleming and University of Florida Law Professor Gary S. Lawson will bring their distinct perspectives on constitutional law and Supreme Court jurisprudence to the discussion. The program will be moderated by Supreme Judicial Court Justice Scott L. Kafker, FJI President and Dean.
