Panel Voir Dire: Practical Tools and Techniques (Hybrid Program)

Tuesday, May 12, 2026 | 1:00pm - 5:00pm EDT
Free

This is a bench/bar program.

Join us for this dynamic bench-bar workshop, “Panel Voir Dire: Practical Tools and Techniques,” a practice-focused program designed for judges and trial practitioners.

Hosted at the Suffolk County Courthouse and co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Flaschner Judicial Institute, this educational program will bring together members of the bench and bar for an in-depth exploration of effective panel voir dire. The workshop will feature a plenary session addressing governing rules, best practices, and logistical considerations, followed by an interactive demonstration highlighting real-world application of panel voir dire in an employment discrimination case.

With participation from experienced jurists and seasoned trial attorneys, this event will offer a collaborative forum to exchange perspectives, refine jury selection techniques, and strengthen courtroom practice. Judges who attend will benefit from the focus on current trial techniques and emerging best practices in jury selection, gaining insight into how attorneys approach panel voir dire and how judicial management can improve efficiency, fairness, and clarity in the jury selection process.

The Massachusetts Bar Association will process attorney registrations. Please note that lunch will not be provided; however, afternoon refreshments will be served. Parking arrangements are the responsibility of each participant.

A hybrid option will be available for this program, with live streaming offered from 1:00–5:00 PM.
