Presentation of the Hon. Edward M. Ginsburg Award for Distinguished Public Service During Judicial Retirement

The Flaschner Judicial Institute invites you to a special event honoring the late Hon. Paul A. Chernoff, who will be posthumously awarded the Hon. Edward M. Ginsburg Award for Distinguished Public Service During Judicial Retirement.

Established in 2024, this award recognizes retired Massachusetts judges who continue to make exceptional volunteer contributions to the administration of justice. It is named for Judge Edward Ginsburg, founding Trustee of the Flaschner Judicial Institute and founder of Senior Partners for Justice.

Judge Chernoff’s decades of service – as a jurist, mentor, educator, and volunteer – embody the spirit of this award and the legacy of Judge Ginsburg’s lifelong commitment to public service. His impact on the judiciary, legal profession, and broader community endures as a model of integrity and compassion.
