Handling Firearms Cases from the Bench (In-Person Program)
Firearms cases are becoming increasingly complex and carry significant legal and societal implications. As the legal landscape surrounding gun-related matters continues to evolve, judges must be well-equipped to navigate the challenges that most commonly arise.
Designed specifically for Massachusetts trial judges, this in-person, full-day educational program will focus on the critical legal and procedural issues unique to firearms cases. Participants will engage in interactive hypotheticals based on real-world scenarios, encouraging peer discussion and the exchange of judicial best practices. The agenda will cover a range of key subject areas and offer practical insights aimed at enhancing clarity, fairness, and legal precision in the adjudication of weapons-related offenses.
