Contribution and Indemnity Issues

Presenters:

This evening program for Superior Court judges will be presented in three parts:

• An overview of the contribution statute with discussion of some important concepts, terms, and practical issues, as well as a discussion of how contribution claims are asserted.
• A detailed discussion of the effect of settlement upon contribution claims.
• A presentation of significant legal and practical issues related to indemnity under Massachusetts law.

This program will be most beneficial to newer judges who have limited experience with contribution and indemnity issues, although experienced judges are also welcome to attend.
