“Debt Collection Land: Essentials for Consumer Debt Proceedings” provided Massachusetts judges with a comprehensive overview of the legal landscape, courtroom mechanics, and real-world impact of consumer debt cases. The full-day program, held on March 11th, featured sessions on entering the world of debt collection, enforcing judgments through suits on a judgment and trustee process, supplementary process, and a panel discussion on the day-to-day mechanics of debt collection cases.
The agenda concluded with an Access to Justice perspective examining how debt collection affects individuals and communities. Time for Q&A and dialogue throughout the day helped make the training an engaging and well-received program.
