Through its IOLTA Grants Program, the MBF Board of Trustees recently voted to award a generous grant of $190,000 to the Flaschner Judicial Institute for its educational programming and publications for Massachusetts judges. Since 1982, the MBF has provided critical operating support for Flaschner.
Over $4.8 million in funding will be provided by the MBF this year to 82 non-profit legal aid programs across the state, and this significant funding will support a wide array of critical civil legal services throughout the Commonwealth. “This year’s funding amount is the highest the Foundation has awarded since 2008,” said MBF President G. Perry Wu. He noted that higher interest rates have significantly boosted the available funding for civil legal services.
