The Flaschner Judicial Institute wishes Chief Justice Jeffrey A. Locke a heartfelt and happy retirement after serving for the past two years as the Chief Justice of the Trial Court and the 21 prior years on the Massachusetts Superior Court (2001-2022).
Chief Justice Locke was a former chair of the Massachusetts Sentencing Commission and an important member of several court committees, including the Supreme Judicial Court Standing Advisory Committee on the Rules of Criminal Procedure, the Superior Court Committee on Sentencing Best Practices, and the Trial Court Fiscal Task Force.
Chief Justice Locke has attended and presented at numerous Flaschner programs over the course of his judicial career. We are grateful, and we will miss you, Chief Justice Locke!
