Melissa Nawrocki has served as the Director of the Flaschner Institute since September 2005. Melissa is responsible for the planning of educational programs and publications for Massachusetts judges, as well as the day-to-day operations of the organization, including development, communications, and community relations. She first joined the Flaschner Institute in the fall of 2004, working part-time as its Program Coordinator.

Prior to Flaschner, Melissa worked at the Massachusetts Bar Foundation and for the Initiatives for Children program at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. She is a graduate of Providence College and Boston University.

Betsy Vander Voort joined the Flaschner Judicial Institute as a legal intern in the fall of 2006. As Program Manager, Betsy manages the logistical aspects of educational programs for judges, including marketing and event planning.

Betsy graduated from Suffolk University Law School in May 2008. She is also a 2001 graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.
